It’s hard to describe to a cop lover. But the kneeling is/was a peaceful protest against police treachery.
 I don’t like Brees’ politics, but he is a decent and thoughtful person . His teammates have always looked up to him. For a good reason.

You would also need understand the "team" construct to comprehend what Brees did. So, I think you are s-o-l are far as grasping this issue.
