NPR did not say it was untrue. They changed the subject.

But, the point of the post is Trump supporters are getting stabbed in the back and that is the truth. He is totally failing on immigration, the wall, and border security as it stands right now.

Is this higher percentage than non-aliens ? NPR stated that the crime statistics are not higher than the general population.

How did these aliens enter the country ? Pretty important question if this is related to the need for a new fencing.

Without anything to compare it to, it is a statistically meaningless.

The issue was criminal aliens. It was not percentages or the Mexican prison population. Those are only distractions and he had limited time to make his point.
