Book bans in schools are catching fire. Black authors say uproar isn’t about students (msn.com)

(Most of the books that are targeted for bans don’t teach critical race theory but are written by and about people of color.). The American Library Association said its Office for Intellectual Freedom reported 273 books were affected by censorship attempts in 2020, many with content that highlighted race, gender and sexuality. Since September alone, there have been at least 230 challenges, the organization said in an email.

Using your own logic about people being taken off You Tube, these books are neither being banned or burnt. Do the book stores still carry these books? Yes. No books are banned.

When it comes to learning burned, banned, removed means the same thing. School libraries are in many cases the only resource kids have. The minority of parents who want closed minded children can restrict them without punishing the whole school.
And doesn't it bother you that Big Brother is involved here ?
Schools are and most libraries ARE government. This is real censorship

No alternate theory has been banned .Calling a theory bullshit does not constitute censorship
Parents have absolute control over their own child.
