"Breaking with his Republican predecessor, Democratic Gov. Tony Evers on Friday declared the coniferous fixture that annually graces the Capitol rotunda a “holiday tree.”

"This is ‘PC’ garbage,” Fitzgerald tweeted, referring to political correctness. “It’s a Christmas Tree.”

Revenge of the Republicans:
"Assembly Republicans on Tuesday are likely to pass a resolution recognizing the week of Thanksgiving as “National Bible Week.”

What would Jesus do ?

Let me freely admit that I can not stand our socialist m*th*r f*ck*ng governor.
The tree has traditionally been known, throughout our history, as a gawddamn Christmas Tree. F*ck the holiday tree and those *ssh*les that wanna ruin our tradition with that communist BS.
I am not a Christian but I am a traditionalist and if anyone is offended by that - F*ck them. I don't give a sh*t.

RE: 'Tis the season for ridiculous devisiveness - j.p. - 11-09-2019

Your post exemplifies the way faux Christians feel about it too. They are angry. They same way they are angry when anything happens they don't agree with. I could give a shit what they call that tree, nobody should. I was just furthering my point that nothing good happens when religion is mixed with government. And nothing good happens when the government forces religion upon it's people. And the fact that Christmas is celebrated as a secular holiday across the nation. The tree proves that.

It's all about Marxist/neo-progressives trying to erase American tradition. It ain't gonna happen without a fight. The governor is part of the plot against those that care to preserve our traditions.

RE: 'Tis the season for ridiculous devisiveness - j.p. - 11-09-2019

Tradition should be organic. Not forced. Especially the uber trivial stuff.

RE: 'Tis the season for ridiculous devisiveness - k.d. - 11-09-2019

Christmas, besides being a religious holiday, is a Federal Holiday. No one with half a brain considers it a trivial holiday. If these assholes wanna deal with trivial, let them phuc with Secretary's Day.

RE: 'Tis the season for ridiculous devisiveness - j.p. - 11-10-2019

I don't view Christmas as trivial. It's crass commercialism and religious hate that surrounds the holiday that trivializes what's left of any religious meaning.

You do know that Christmas has already started? . Stores have stocked the shelves, folks have put up their decorations. In Madison we have a radio station now playing Christmas music 24 hours at day. It's early November ! No mention of Jesus' birth now.

And "in your face" attitude toward the proper type of salutation rankles me a little.

RE: 'Tis the season for ridiculous devisiveness - k.d. - 11-10-2019

That commercialism is part of the 'holiday season', not Christmas.
What you hear on your radio are 'winter songs', mostly written by Jews, not Christmas songs.
I think you are crazy if you think the Prince of Peace with his philosophy of Love is a Diety for hatred.

RE: 'Tis the season for ridiculous devisiveness - j.p. - 11-10-2019

Then it's curious why the word Christmas seems to be used by all of the merchants. And Silent Night is being played as I write this.

If he weren't at the right hand of the Father, the "Prince of Peace" would be rolling in his grave with the way we have bastardized his message

Quote:Then it's curious why the word Christmas seems to be used by all of the merchants.
If true, maybe that dumb phuc Evers should get a clue.

Quote:And Silent Night is being played as I write this.
Why in the hell are you listening to that stuff before Thanksgiving?

Quote:If he weren't at the right hand of the Father, the "Prince of Peace" would be rolling in his grave
Remember Easter? He escaped from the grave. Remember Ascension Day? He was whisked up to Heaven.
