Happens all the time. But I can't think of a reason why they should if they are not an immediate threat to anyone.
My opinion is that government can't do anything right.

I'm sure there would be a robust market for this. The "revenge" industry would thrive in this country.
I submit that the criminal voluntarily agrees to the death penalty. If he commits a crime and knows what the punishment is - he is willing to accept the consequences, voluntarily.
I doubt anybody on death row would profess to "submitting" to any such thing.
But that's neither here nor there. We have enough treachery in the US without the government participating in and perpetuating it. Bloodthirst pure and simple.
In Omar's world they cut off your hand if you steal and they practice the death penalty by stoning, beheading or crucifying for much minor infractions. We clearly are more humane. Oh, and we do it much less often.
