There is no individual whose rights are being denied here. The parents can and do restrict their kid form classes and materials. In my day kids got an extra recess during sex ed.
Sounds like the OK law would let a singular parent deny the rights of the rest of the kids from picking up a book like "I am Jazz". If their kid would be titillated by a book like that, they would need help a school couldn't provide.
