Not sure if mask wearing has anything to do with them at all.

That is what the entire thing is about. Sheesh!

We know what the conspiracy buff sez and thinks. 

But the so-called references were mostly dated prior to the pandemic, so we don't know the context of what their alleged research was about. And we don't know if they would be for or against the use of certain masks to help mitigate the spread of a highly contagious virus.
