This is what Congress does on our nickel ?

The banter is mind numbing enough. But an official Resolution ?? Is this remotely government business ?

Gee, Joe McCarthy is smiling up form hell on this one.

How do you take an oath and swear to defend the Constitution and then use all your influence to work to destroy the very principles and fabric of the document?

Principles shminciples. I don't think those gentlemen and women who authored the resolution are qualified to lecture on principles.

Is there anything unconstitutional with what she has done ?

Again, she broke her oath. Is that unconstitutional? It is treasonous possibly.

Treasonous, be serious.

She didn't break on oath, nobody has claimed that. If she has, most all have as well. You know that the constitutional has been changed ? Were all those folks "oathbreakers"

If you swear to defend the Constitution and then do everything in your power to change the form of government prescribed by the Constitution, that is a crime.

There was absolutely nothing that she said that would suggest changing the form of government, nothing.

All the parties in this is issue are nothing the hyperbolic windbags. The difference being one group made their personal attack part of the official government record.

Quote:“We are not merely fighting to tear down the systems of oppression in the criminal justice system. We are fighting to tear down systems of oppression that exist in housing, in education, in health care, in employment, in the air we breathe. As long as our economy and political systems prioritize profit without considering who is profiting, who is being shut out, we will perpetuate this inequality,” she said. “We cannot stop at the criminal justice system, we must begin the work of dismantling the whole system of oppression wherever we find it.”
Dismantling the entire system, including capitalism (profit), would require changing our form of government.

And, what oppression? The only oppression from the government that I see is taxation.

She didn't say capitalism or profits.

"oppression where we find it"  ???  Boy, that's quite a treasonous statement you found there.

Taxation is an "effect" not a "cause". So that was quite nonsensical statement. Spending is oppression. You're. welcome.

Masks are oppression, right ?

You need to start reading what you post. Read the third sentence.

Quote:Taxation is an "effect" not a "cause".

You can call it whatever you want, but I call it oppression when someone forcibly takes the fruit of ones labor away from them.

Quote:Masks are oppression, right ?
Absolutely if you are FORCED to wear one.
