The critics were right: "Critical race theory" panic is just a cover for silencing educators | Salon.com
Quote:When Republicans across the nation started storming school board meetings, in full-blown hysterics about something called "critical race theory," the initial reaction of the non-Fox News-watcher was confusion. Very few even know what critical race theory is. It is not being taught to the vast majority of public school children, as it's a high level academic theory used by legal scholars and sociologists, not 8th graders. But soon it became clear that "critical race theory" was being invoked as a scare term, exploiting this multisyllabic academic jargon as cover for what was, in actuality, an effort to censor any curricula or educational materials that taught kids unpleasant truths about the history of fascism, the struggle for civil rights, or the existence of LGBTQ people.
Republicans, unsurprisingly, faked umbrage at this claim, insisting repeatedly that they had no intention of removing standard classroom lessons on matters like the Holocaust, Brown vs. the Board of Education, or the March on Washington. Instead, their talking points were a jumbled, bad faith explosion of claims that they were actually against racism and just worried about "divisive" lessons. They kept this patter of nonsense up, even as Virginia's successful GOP gubernatorial candidate Glenn Youngkin ran ads celebrating a right-wing mother who tried to keep her son from reading "Beloved" by Nobel Prize winner Toni Morrison, a book that was clearly only objectionable because it portrayed slavery in a bad light.

Why not ? Seems to match the profile.
Right-Wing Pastor Greg Locke Organizes 'Massive' Book Burning (msn.com)
Quote:A controversial pastor is planning a "massive burning" of Harry Potter and Twilight books, as well as other items, in Tennessee.
Global Vision Bible Church pastor Greg Locke was met with cries of approval on Sunday when he declared there would be a "burning service" this week.
Locke, who operates out of Mt. Juliet near Nashville, told them to bring Ouija boards, which he called a "portal to hell," and other items he said were associated with witchcraft.
He then doubled down on his comments in a Monday Facebo
ok post, where he declared the burning would be part of a "continued series on deliverance from demons."
The post read: "We have stuff coming in from all over that we will be burning. We're not playing games. Witchcraft and accursed things must go."
Locke then justified the event by referring to Acts 19, a Biblical chapter that deals with recent converts to Christianity renouncing their past, including by burning scrolls relating to sorcery.

Been Watching the goings on in Ottawa since Friday. Impressive for numerous reasons. Besides several alternative news sources on You Tube, Bitchute, and Rumble I have been following a live guy called Ottawalks on You Tube. He walks around live broadcasting without much talking. He does a good job. Had the displeasure of watching part of Trudeau's bullshit press conference. What a frickin' liar.
Apparently there are so many trucks that the city, state or federal government has closed the bridges into the city so no more trucks can get in. I have no idea what the citizens do to get out of town.
Go Truckers! Go Canada!
